Li Leqi was born in 1986 to a well-off family in Guangzhou, China. Her parents, both successful businesspeople, instilled a strong work ethic in Li from a young age. After completing her undergraduate degree, Li landed a job at Bain & Company, a global management consulting firm. But even as she achieved success in the business world, Li never forgot her commitment to giving back.
Li founded the Li Leqi Foundation in 2017, with the goal of providing educational opportunities to underprivileged students in China. The foundation has since funded numerous scholarships and programs that have helped students across the country gain access to quality education.
